How Your Donations Make A Difference Updated with FY2004 PIE CHART! Christian Appalachian Project -
The Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) exists to help the less fortunate people of Appalachia, most of whom have missed sharing in the American dream. For the fiscal year ended August 31, 2004, as stewards of your donations, over 1,600,000 Appalachian people have benefitted from CAP's local and regional self-help programs. These services include child development centers, adult education, elderly, prescription assistance, youth/teen centers, camps, counseling for spouse and child abuse, parenting, employment services for individuals with disabilities, and housing. CAP's Operation Sharing has distributed items such as building supplies, books, clothing, furniture and food to thousands of people in need. CAP's Operation Relief responded to several natural disasters throughout Appalachia, delivering much needed emergency supplies like water, clothing, bedding, and cleaning supplies to help victims of these disasters begin rebuilding their lives. CAP is proud nearly 84% of gifts received in FY2004 went into human service programs.
